Loft Conversions are seen as making the most of unused space in the home and is becoming more popular as the property market is stagnating.

Why waste perfectly usable area of the home on storage when it could be put to good use and add value to your home.  Here at Town and Country Lofts and Extensions we help homeowners enjoy more spacious living by extending their homes upwards into their lofts, or outwards into their unused garages.

With a garage or loft/attic conversion you and your family could enjoy:

Additional bedrooms
An extra bathroom or shower room
A children's playroom
A utility room
A study or office
A games room
A home gym or cinema

In some cases it’s even possible to create a self-contained living space with a loft or garage conversion which offers comfort and privacy for house guests or the perfect solution for live-in relatives, adult children or domestic staff such as nannies.

Which Loft Conversion

Here at Town and Country Lofts and Extensions our loft specialists are fully qualified and highly experienced with specific expertise in this trade and in all types of loft conversions as there are a variety of options available when converting your attic. Our experts will guide you through these, making sure your objectives are met and that a suitable conversion type is chosen:

VELUX loft conversion is generally the most cost effective and in most cases no planning permission is needed as velux windows are installed flush into the existing roof.

DORMER loft conversion protrude from the roof and are usually added to the back of the house. They are good for increasing limited headroom, planning permission is not usually required, but our fully qualified surveryor will be able to advise you on our initial meeting so you can leave that to Town and Country Lofts and Extensions.

MANSARD loft conversion is another form of dormer but with a 70 degree angle to the face of the dormer. Some customers prefer this look and some local authorities insist in having these in their area so once again, as above our surveyor will advise you.

HIP TO GABLE loft conversion, the sloped side of your existing roof is built vertically to enable you to increase the maximum space available to the existing footprint of your house. This area would normally accommodate the new staircase making the new landing area flow naturally into the existing house. No planning permission is required.
